Our Mission

Kamarupa Anusandhana Samiti is dedicated to the research, preservation, and promotion of the history, archaeology, culture, language and heritage of the Northeast India (the territorial limit of old Kamarupa kingdom).

We strive to connect scholars, historians, and enthusiasts to foster a deeper understanding of our rich cultural legacy for present and future generations.

Committed to rigorous and authentic research of history, archaeology, culture, language etc.

Preservation

Dedicated to safeguarding cultural artifacts and traditions. At present two hundred manuscripts written in Sanchi Bark are preserved in the KAS library. Certain manuscripts are illustrated. The text of these manuscripts are available in digital form also.

Education

Spreading awareness and knowledge through publications, seminars, and workshops and providing internship to students from colleges and universities.

Community

Building a network of scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts passionate about heritage of Northeast India (Old Kamarupa).

The Kamarupa Anusandhana Samiti has signed Memorandum of Understanding five colleges to promote collaborative research, academic exchange, and the preservation of Assam's cultural heritage.
